Mosaic commmisioned by Bad Oldesloe council for a newly built local kindergarten, Steinfelder Redder. The spec was to get the children involved in either the planning or making of the piece. An established hedgerow runs the length of the kindergarten property so with a reference to the over 1500 different spieces of insects to be found in hedgerows, all 46 children drew insects for me. Ceramic decals of their artwork, were then fired onto tiles and incorporated into the 240x144cm mosaic which was installed in august 2016.
